Welcome to the Silicon Based Lasers & Nanophotonics Research Team Website. The information on these pages is intended only for principal investigators and active research team members. Limited access is provided to our sponsor and invited guests supporting the PI’s in their activities.
The links below provide access to important information developed during the program. For example, the links listed under the tasks heading provides basic information about the program including our objectives for the Extrinsic Gain Laser and the Intrinsic Gain Laser. One of the most active links is the one for Weekly MURI Meetings. Information is exchanged each week by one of the eight member university research teams. We are currently in our ninth session. Another important link is the Team discussion board. Use this link to review questions and ideas shared by members of the research team. Feel free to add your own ideas or questions.

Weekly Si Laser MURI Team Meetings
Calendar and Presentation Postings of the weekly MURI meetings.

Each week presentations are prepared and given by students and post docs from one of the 8 university groups involved in the Si Laser MURI program. Meetings are held via teleconference (for audio) and web interface for the presentation materials. A session consists of one round of presentations made by all of the participating research universities. Presenters are requested to upload their presentation file to the current presentation category prior to the meeting.
Meetings are currently scheduled for Monday afternoons from 12:15pm (PDT)/3:15pm (EDT) unless otherwise noted.
The next session (#11) of the Weekly MURI Presentation series will begin Monday June 22, 2009.
